Coppicing Elm
At the three cornered wood I've been felling Elms as they start to become Dutch Elm affected. They grow back up very well even in the first year with up to 6' of growth. Important to protect the new growth by piling brash over the stumps to keep rabbits and deer away as much as possible. Hopefully the coppiced Elm will be worth harvesting in ten to fifteen years time.
Duck and Pheasant
From Alan Blades for allowing the shoot over our field and wood. We had duck and pheasant for Christmas dinner!
