Nice to see plenty of bee activity on the Victoria plums this morning. Very warm weather. Around 23c and still no rain. Turnip seedling through already. Watered the veg patch. No rain due for four days according to the BBC weather.

Today I put onion sets in. Both white and red. Cold day.

Pentland Javelin

The earlys, Pentland Javelin went in today. That's all the potatoes planted. The leaf buds on the apple and plum trees are just starting to open.

Planted a row of Cara maincrop today. And had a plink with the s400f . Primroses are out in force and I saw three woodpecker and a very nice nuthatch.

Today we sowed parsnip, beetroot, carrots and turnips. Also got a row if Desiree potatoes in.

In November 2018 I bought a new Air Arms S400f classic in .177 from Ron Daley. It's a very nice rifle.  I've spent a lot of time since then oiling the stock. It's doesn't seem to have brought the grain out in the photos as much as possible be might expect but the stock has a much nicer finish to it. Latest pic at the top and oldest pic at the bottom.

Shed

We got a shed for the field in autumn 2018. Melissa has plans for it. 

Last August 2018 we bought six pullets from a place near York. They were £12.50 each.

Today I've seen three Roe deer, a barn owl, a hedgehog and a very old rat
